What: July Green Drinks
When: Tues the 29th at 7pm
Where: Doppio Cafe and Lounge, located at 310 Oak St .
The Social Networking event for all you sustainable types is back. This month will feature a short talk by Mitch Frister, a coordinator of Portland Airports Food Waste Diversion Project and further discussion about how Hood River can implement a composting program for its restaurants.
CGEC Green Drinks is a local chapter of the international green social networking phenomenon. The concept aims to bring together folks from non-profits, academia, government, and industry as well as ALL others with
expertise or interest in sustainability for a fun and relaxed evening of unashamed networking and cocktail.
Greendrinks.org describes the event as:
“…very simple and unstructured, but many people have found employment, made friends, developed new ideas, done deals and had moments of serendipity. It's a force for the good…”
